A camera's Smart Dual-Light mode works as follows: at night, the camera defaults to infrared (IR) night vision. When an event is triggered, the warm light turns on and the image switches from black-and-white to full color. After a certain period, it automatically reverts to IR night vision.

What types of cameras are equipped with dual-light?

Camera products can be divided into three types based on their fill-light mode:

• Infrared cameras use infrared LEDs for fill light, keeping the night image black-and-white.

• Full-color cameras use warm LEDs for fill light, delivering continuous full-color night images.

• The above two types are single-light modes.

Dual-light cameras have both infrared and warm‑light LEDs, allowing the lighting effect to be switched as needed.
